The design is reproduced from a drawing of an ancient artifact, hailing from ancient Mediterranean culture.

A master tile was hand-sculpted, then a press mold was made. Even so, each tile differs in that much of the fine detail is carved out anew.

This tile hangs on the wall. It is made of white stoneware clay, and refired in a kiln with oxide washes.

Measures 3.5" (8.5 cm) x 5.5 (14 cm).
